On November 14, 2019, the delegation of the Ukrainian Union of Romania, led by the President of the UUR, Deputy Nicolae-Miroslav Petreţchi, visited the Ivano-Frankivsk region at the invitation of the head of the Regional State Administration, Denis Shmigal. During the meeting with the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, were discussed issues regarding the current situation and the prospects of the Romanian-Ukrainian cooperation at regional level. 

     The President of the UUR, Deputy Nicolae-Miroslav Petreţchi, said that the most effective cross-border cooperation of the UUR is with the Ivano-Frankivsk region. The UUR is represented in the Parliament of Romania and is a bridge between our countries. In August 2016, a cooperation agreement between the UUR and the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration in the scientific, technical, humanitarian, cultural and educational fields was concluded.

      Developing cooperation with Romania, especially with Ukrainians in Romania, is one of the main priorities in cooperation with foreign partners, - said the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, Denis Shmigal.

      In his turn, the first vice-president of the Regional Council, Vasyl Gladiy, mentioned that the meeting of the Regional Council is planned to approve the text of the Memorandum of Cooperation that will be sent to the Government of Ukraine in order to support the cooperation at the state level.
